The Milet Publishing Event will consist of a range of presentations and workshops, in which industry professionals will give advice about fiction, journalism, features, web, poetry and children’s books.
Presenting writers will cover subjects such as: building a career as a writer; inspirations for writing; the discipline of writing; writing for different genres and tips on getting your work published.
Publishers and agents will share their perspectives on what types of writing they are looking for, how to write for the market, and how to approach publishers. They will show you examples of successful and unsuccessful submissions and a give you a review of publishing deals.
After the seminars, there will be a networking session, where you can get a chance to meet informally with industry professionals.
