The 13th March sees Aquent’s Salary Monitor Survey for 2006/2007
being launched across Europe and Asia Pacific. This year NMK is
partnering with Aquent to add further depth to the survey by
offering all its members the opportunity to contribute and
receive a free printed copy, when the findings are published
later this year.
Last year, Aquent’s Salary Monitor Survey revealed that a high
percentage of companies were facing significant challenges in
attracting and retaining quality employees, this was against an
expected growth in the need for permanent staff of between 28%
-77% and freelance staff of up to 50%.
Salaries were increasing for highly skilled people, however, it
also showed there to be a general skills shortage across most
sectors. 2005 saw a heightened pressure on companies' bottom
lines and the need for them to manage their clients’
expectations.
Optimism and staff pressures on a twin-track
Altogether the prediction for 2006 was of optimism for business
growth coupled with concerns regarding their staffing capacity
to achieve it.
In a more aggressive move, salary benefit and incentive packages
are now becoming widely used in the marketing and creative
industry for attracting and retaining staff and this year sees
the area being reported upon in detail. Further adding to what
is already a superior source of reference for
decision-makers.
